definition
Uncommon congenital cutaneous anomaly that presents with one or more circumscribed pale-coloured irregularly shaped patches of normal texture. The trunk is the most common site of involvement. Histological examination of such lesions reveals no abnormality. This condition is considered to reflect locally increased vascular reactivity to catecholamines.
